The performance of the promisor will satisfy his obligation to the promisee.

promisor, in an example:

Sheila is to be married, so she contracts with a caterer to provide food service for her wedding reception. The two parties sign a contract detailing the specifics. The caterer, as the promisor, agrees to serve a specific menu at the event on a specific date and time. Sheila in turn, as the promisor, agrees to pay the caterer a set fee.
